About

One room, one fire, forty seats

We opened in 2021 with a wood grill and not much else. The menu is deliberately short so everything leaving the pass has someone's full attention, and the wine list leans natural without being precious about it. Walk-ins welcome at the bar.

“The whole fish for two is the best thing I've eaten this year, and the server actually knew why each wine was on the list.”

Nadia K. · Toronto

“Walked in at 9 on a Thursday, got two seats at the bar. Small menu, everything on it was excellent.”

Tom A. · Toronto

“Told them about a shellfish allergy when I booked and the kitchen had already adjusted two courses before we sat down.”

FAQ

Common questions

Do you take walk-ins?

The bar keeps eight seats back for walk-ins every service. Tables are worth booking — Friday and Saturday usually fill by midweek.

Can you handle allergies and dietary restrictions?

Yes — tell us when you book and the kitchen plans around it. There are always vegetarian options and most can be made vegan.

Do you do large groups?

We seat groups up to eight in the room. For anything larger we can discuss a partial buyout on quieter nights.

Is there corkage?

Corkage is $35 a bottle, limit two per table, and we waive it entirely on Wednesdays.

Friday fills up by Wednesday

Book a table in a few taps, or ask about the menu, allergies and corkage — the assistant answers day or night.
